The story of Chanukah is one of triumph in the face of our enemies, and a miracle with a deep lesson. When a person's deepest self is challenged, their essence comes out and no force can extinguish that flame. This is what happened on Chanukah — Temple oil meant to last for only a day responded to an attack on its soul and offered eight days of light! This Chanukah and every day henceforth, may we become this miracle—through both times of hope and times of challenge—of a light shining bright, beyond our wildest imagination.
